SAFETY

The FORTIFIED Home Program, developed by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), is a voluntary initiative for construction and re-roofing that enhances the resilience of homes and commercial buildings against severe weather, including high winds, hail, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Adopting FORTIFIED standards provides protection that surpasses even the most stringent building codes.

SAVINGS

Insurance providers recognize that FORTIFIED standards safeguard homes and minimize damage. By choosing a FORTIFIED Home with any certification level (Roof, Silver, or Gold), you may qualify for insurance discounts from most carriers. Savings vary by state and provider but typically range from 30-50% off premiums.

SMARTER INVESTING

As long as you renew your FORTIFIED certification every 5 years, the value of your home will remain high and desirable due to the benefits of safety and insurance discounts. Our team of Fortified Evaluators will be here to make sure your renewal inspections go smoothly when the time comes.

MAKE SURE IT’S FORTIFIED

It’s critical to verify a home’s FORTIFIED status, even if the listing claims it’s certified. In several “Caveat Emptor” states, like Alabama, buyers are responsible for confirming details before purchasing a property.

At Fortified Evaluators, we simplify the process by checking a home’s FORTIFIED certification status for you. Just provide us with the address, and we’ll handle the rest—ensuring a quick, straightforward way to avoid misleading claims.
