How the North Carolina Strengthen Your Roof Grant Works
The North Carolina Insurance Underwriting Association (NCIUA) offers the Strengthen Your Roof (SYR) grant program to help eligible policyholders upgrade to an IBHS FORTIFIED Roof on their coastal homes. Qualifying homeowners may receive up to $10,000 in grant funding to make their roof more resilient to wind and water intrusion. Fortified Evaluators, LLC provides the FORTIFIED roof evaluations and documentation the program requires.

The NC Strengthen Your Roof grant can contribute up to $10,000 toward the cost of a qualifying FORTIFIED Roof replacement for eligible NCIUA policyholders.
